Annual Piano Concerto Competition

Cache Symphony Orchestra announces winners of the Annual Piano Concerto Competition held February 8, 2020. First place was awarded to Aaron Miller of Willard, Utah playing Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 2, 1st movement. He is a student of Anarie White. Aaron will perform with the Cache Symphony Orchestra April 11th as part of their Spring Concert in the Daines Concert Hall on the campus of Utah State University.

Second place was awarded to Jake Anderson of Logan, Utah playing the first movement of Mendelssohn’s Concerto in G Minor. He is a student of Ryan Frazier. Third place was awarded to Jacee Taylor of Elwood, Utah playing Kabalevsky Concerto No. 3, 1st movement. She is also a student of Anarie White.

This competition is held annually and serves the purpose of providing an opportunity for young pianists up to the age of 18 throughout Cache, Rich, and Box Elder Counties to perform concerto works with adjudication and commentary by local qualified judges.
